Tire & mileage-based maintenance for a fleet
The challenge
Tires and service were kept in notebooks: no clarity on which tire sat on which wheel, when to rotate or replace it, or when a truck was due for service. With mileage tracked from memory, service was either missed or done too early. It all had to be tied to real GPS mileage.
What was built
A maintenance module built on top of the Fleet telemetry. Tires are tracked by axle and wheel position — you see what sits where, with install, rotation and replacement history and cost. The service schedule is computed by mileage (every 20k km) and time (every 2 months), with a replacement forecast of 3 years / 150k km. When a truck nears a threshold, a reminder fires; mileage comes from GPS.
Tires by wheel
each tire is bound to an axle and position; you see the current set and what sits on which wheel.
History & cost
install, rotation, replacement with dates, mileage and amount per tire and per truck.
Service by mileage & time
a plan: every 20k km or 2 months, tire replacement forecast 3 yr / 150k km.
Threshold reminders
as a truck nears its next service by mileage, a notification fires — no notebooks.
Maintenance cost per truck
how much went to tires and service per vehicle over a period.
Mileage from GPS
service is computed on real Wialon mileage, not hand-entered numbers.
The result
No missed service: the system reminds by mileage on its own. You see which tire is on which wheel and how far it has run, and tire and service costs are tallied per truck.
