Car resale accounting — a system for two partners
The challenge
Two partners buy cars at US auctions (Copart, IAAI), clear customs, repair and resell them in Ukraine. Accounting lived in Excel and messengers: how much they owe the import company per car, who put in how much, parts and repair costs, how much they made. The partner had no live picture and had to keep asking for the status and the numbers.
What was built
A car-accounting module inside Control Hub. Each car is a card with full economics: debt to the import company, expenses, income, profit. Everything is tracked in US dollars. For the partner a public token link is generated — without logging in he sees the status and adds his own expenses straight from the phone.
Car debt
the landed cost as a debt to the company, paid off in installments; adjustable on a discount, showing the balance and payment history.
Expenses and income
tracked by category (parts, repair, detailing); selling a part off the car is logged as income and reduces the invested amount.
Status timeline
Won → At port → In transit → In Ukraine → Repair → For sale → Sold, with the date of each stage and the days between them.
Public partner portal
a token link without login: view all cars, add expenses and payments from the phone, fully mobile-adapted.
Partner settlement
who invested how much, and on a sale automatically: return each partner's stake + 50% of the profit.
Photos and documents
a gallery with a cover photo and carousel, documents (invoices, declarations) open in a popup, bulk photo upload.
Private cars
a separate “My cars” tab with no partner and no public link for personal vehicles.
Platform auto-detection and a fixed rate
shared Control Hub infrastructure; all accounting in USD with no drifting numbers.
The result
Both partners see one picture per car: how much is still owed to the company, how much each invested, the expected profit. The partner adds expenses from the phone via the link — no login, no “how much and for what” questions. Profit and the 50/50 split are calculated automatically.
